Story details

WhiteRock Lithium announced on 28 October the first assay results from its completed 2026 diamond drilling campaign at Spodumene Mountain within the Banana lithium project in Québec, Canada. The campaign comprised 65 holes and 19,481 metres, with pegmatite intersected in every hole. Laboratory assays have so far been received for 17 holes, so the full campaign has not yet been chemically characterised.

Reported intersections include 84.0 metres at 1.84% lithium oxide from eight metres in BL26-041 and 40.9 metres at 2.16% from 171.2 metres in BL26-033. BL26-038 returned 38.6 metres at 2.29% from 156.5 metres. These percentages refer to Li₂O, rather than elemental lithium concentration in brine.

In BL26-044, the company reported 51.0 metres at 2.24% Li₂O from 52.5 metres, alongside separate deeper intersections. BL26-045 returned 37.9 metres at 2.47% from 152.9 metres. The release describes a prospect that remains open along strike and at depth; further drilling and interpretation are needed to establish its boundaries.

Core processing continues and additional assays are expected in the coming weeks. Subject to the results, WhiteRock expects the campaign to support a maiden mineral resource estimate for Spodumene Mountain in the first half of 2027. The present disclosure confirms sampled mineralisation and does not yet constitute that resource estimate or a production forecast.
