Reuse terms: EIA public information; the underlying daily prices come from a third party

Commercial permission unconfirmed

EIA computes annual values as unweighted averages of daily closing spot prices supplied by Refinitiv, an LSEG business. EIA information is public, but its reuse policy excludes content licensed from third parties; redistribution rights for the underlying daily prices are not established here, so only the published annual averages are shown.

Derived values
  • Spud-year counts use each registry record with a source spud date; records without one are excluded and counted separately. The year containing a catalogue snapshot date is partial; later years are not covered.
  • Measured-depth quantiles are per catalogue and spud year, linear interpolation (type 7), on the first reported measured depth in metres with its source reference level unchanged.
  • Production lifecycle values use SODIR net oil equivalents in million Sm3. Rolling 12-month sums require 12 consecutive unflagged months; cumulative sums exclude flagged months. Periods incomplete at source access are excluded.
  • Produced water share = produced water / (produced water + gross oil) over the latest valid 12-month window, standard volumes; shown only when gross oil is positive.
  • Bottom-hole temperatures are SODIR-reported values at true vertical depth below RKB; correction method is not stated. Log temperatures can underestimate formation temperature.
  • Heat-flow values are IHFC parent-level site values in mW/m2 with verbatim quality scores. Distance to a heat-flow site is context, not a measurement at a well.
  • Brent values are EIA annual averages in nominal USD per barrel. Correlations with drilling counts are descriptive and do not establish causation or forecast skill.
