Well intelligence
Analyse depth, temperature, drilling cycles and field maturity from public well records, measurements and open science data. Every value links to its source; nothing is forecast.

Drilling cycles and oil price
Compare source-reported spud years with the Brent annual average on one timeline.
32,331 spud records · Brent 1987–2025
Field lifecycle board
Track peak output, the latest 12 months and the produced-water share of Norwegian fields from source monthly data.
136 fields and discoveries · latest month 2026-07
Subsurface temperature and heat flow
Compare bottom-hole temperatures with depth and see measured heat flow near wells: context for geothermal reuse.
1,344 bottom-hole temperatures · 71,934 heat-flow sites
Nearby wells and heat flow
Enter a WGS84 coordinate to find the nearest atlas wells, drilling density and measured heat-flow sites.
5–100 km radius · no location permission needed
Record-level intelligence
Every well record shows its nearest offset wells and heat-flow context. Norwegian records also include a digital well log built from formation tops, drilling mud and well tests, and a stratigraphic comparison with offset wells.
Nearby wells and heat flow
Enter a WGS84 coordinate to find the nearest atlas wells, drilling density and measured heat-flow sites.
Your location is never read automatically; only the coordinates you enter are sent to the server.

EIA computes annual values as unweighted averages of daily closing spot prices supplied by Refinitiv, an LSEG business. EIA information is public, but its reuse policy excludes content licensed from third parties; redistribution rights for the underlying daily prices are not established here, so only the published annual averages are shown.

Derived values
- Spud-year counts use each registry record with a source spud date; records without one are excluded and counted separately. The year containing a catalogue snapshot date is partial; later years are not covered.
- Measured-depth quantiles are per catalogue and spud year, linear interpolation (type 7), on the first reported measured depth in metres with its source reference level unchanged.
- Production lifecycle values use SODIR net oil equivalents in million Sm3. Rolling 12-month sums require 12 consecutive unflagged months; cumulative sums exclude flagged months. Periods incomplete at source access are excluded.
- Produced water share = produced water / (produced water + gross oil) over the latest valid 12-month window, standard volumes; shown only when gross oil is positive.
- Bottom-hole temperatures are SODIR-reported values at true vertical depth below RKB; correction method is not stated. Log temperatures can underestimate formation temperature.
- Heat-flow values are IHFC parent-level site values in mW/m2 with verbatim quality scores. Distance to a heat-flow site is context, not a measurement at a well.
- Brent values are EIA annual averages in nominal USD per barrel. Correlations with drilling counts are descriptive and do not establish causation or forecast skill.
