Story details

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) said 20 trainees graduated from a Human Capital Development programme delivered by Heritage Energy Operational Services and H&W Energy. The close-out ceremony took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on 8 October, according to a report published the following day by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation.

The ministry said the participants completed a 12-month course under the Nigerian Content Human Capital Development Initiative. It combined classroom learning and hands-on experience in engineering, procurement, project planning, safety, contract management, mechanical maintenance and information and communications technology. The ministry described the programme as intended to develop industry-related skills and support local participation in oil and gas.

NCDMB’s representative commended Heritage Energy for meeting its human-capital obligations and acknowledged H&W Energy and training partners for delivering the course. The report does not identify employers for the graduates or say that any participant has been placed in a job.
