Story details
Nigeria’s federal government and Lagos State agreed to work together on the Lagos corridor under the 24/7 Energy Zones pilot, according to a Federal Ministry of Information report dated 7 October. The source says the technical session took place at Lagos House, Marina, but does not give a separate meeting date.
The ministry listed Lagos first among three pilot corridors, followed by Abuja–Kaduna–Kano and Enugu–Port Harcourt. It reported that distribution companies operating along the Lagos corridor had committed to take more electricity and provide steadier service, while a joint technical committee would address outstanding technical, commercial and regulatory issues.
The report describes cooperation and proposed implementation steps. It gives no quantity for the additional electricity, and it does not say that continuous 24-hour supply has already been delivered along the corridor.
