Bank Indonesia said on 7 September that it had raised the Macroprudential Liquidity Incentive (KLM) from 5.5% to 6.0%, effective in September 2026. The policy is tailored to individual banks and is intended to direct liquidity toward financing for micro, small and medium-sized businesses and other priority sectors.

By early August, the banking industry had received Rp446.5 trillion in KLM incentives, equal to 5.02% of third-party funds, according to the central bank. The bank also cited a sizeable stock of undisbursed loans as room for potential credit growth, while urging that liquidity reach the real economy.
