Story details
Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health said its first health and life-sciences mission to China had concluded, WAM reported on 17 October. The delegation held 32 meetings and site visits across Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen with healthcare institutions, universities and technology companies.
The department said discussions explored possible cooperation in AI, precision medicine, diagnostics, advanced therapies, clinical research and manufacturing, connecting Chinese capabilities with Abu Dhabi’s health data, genomics and clinical infrastructure. Topics included potential studies, technology validation, knowledge transfer and specialist training. The announcement reports opportunities explored rather than signed projects, clinical deployments or agreed investment; it says 24 organisations were invited to continue discussions at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit.
