QNB Capital served as global coordinator for Qatar’s US$3 billion conventional sovereign bond issuance, QNB Group said in a release reported by QNA on September 29. The transaction was priced on September 21 and comprised US$1 billion of five-year bonds and US$2 billion of ten-year bonds.
The five-year tranche carried a 5.25% coupon and drew orders exceeding US$2 billion. The ten-year tranche carried a 5.375% coupon and attracted orders above US$4 billion. QNB’s account set out the issued amounts, maturities and investor demand for the two tranches.
