In a 23 September clarification, Türkiye’s Capital Markets Board addressed conflicting public figures about investors in funds undergoing liquidation. It said board decisions of 17 September had ordered the liquidation of 131 funds founded by seven portfolio management companies.

Records from the Central Securities Depository showed 455,758 unique investors across those funds. The figure counts people once even if they held positions in multiple funds; it does not by itself state the value being liquidated or investor losses.
