Story details

The Bank of England published its 2026 H2 Systemic Risk Survey on 30 September. Fifty-seven firms took part, a 66% response rate; responses were collected from 27 July to 24 August and reflect participants’ views, not necessarily the Bank’s own assessment.

Ninety-five per cent said they were very or fairly confident in UK financial stability over three years, similar to H1. Respondents nevertheless saw a higher probability of a high-impact event, and AI-related risks reached their highest recorded level across risk source, management challenge and likelihood-to-materialise categories.
