Story details

Republic of Congo’s Council of Ministers reviewed the 2025 budget settlement and 2027 finance bill on 7 October. The minutes, published by ACI the next day, report 2025 oil revenue of CFAF 1,031.612 billion, equal to 83.9% of the forecast.

The same account lists total 2025 budget revenue at CFAF 2,276.544 billion against a CFAF 2,327 billion forecast. These are government-reported outturn figures; the release does not provide a revised revenue series or independent audit assessment.

For the outlook, the government’s macroeconomic and budget framework projects real GDP growth of 6.9% in 2027, compared with 5.6% in 2026. It estimates crude production at 112 million barrels in 2027 versus 105 million in 2026.

The 2025 revenue figures are reported results, while growth and production values are projections. The minutes do not make the 2027 estimates actual output or a guarantee; they are assumptions submitted with the draft budget for parliamentary review.
