China’s Ministry of Finance reported on 18 September that general public-budget revenue reached 15.6633 trillion yuan in January–August 2026, up 5.7% from a year earlier. Tax receipts rose 6.6% to 12.9104 trillion yuan; expenditure increased 1.2% to 18.1451 trillion yuan.
Government-fund budget revenue was 2.1419 trillion yuan, down 19%. Local land-use-right sales revenue fell 28.6% to 1.3753 trillion yuan. The ministry reports these as eight-month cumulative totals, not August-only figures.
