Insee says services output edged down 0.1% month on month in August, with transport and storage down 0.7% and information and communication up 1.1%.
France’s services-production index fell 0.1% in August after rising 0.6% in July, according to Insee’s seasonally and calendar-adjusted series. Transport and storage declined 0.7%, while information and communication rose 1.1%.
Output across services was 1.3% higher year on year for June–August. Insee also revised July’s monthly change up to +0.6% from +0.2% as late business filings were incorporated.
Istat reported a 2.9% monthly fall in seasonally adjusted output, while the unadjusted annual comparison rose 2.3%.
