Eni begins start-up activities at Egypt’s Meleiha Phase 2
The Western Desert development is designed to process up to 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day; start-up activity does not mean full production.
Eni said on 20 October that start-up activities had begun at the Meleiha Phase 2 facilities in Egypt’s Western Desert. The development is operated by Agiba, a joint venture between Eni and Egypt’s EGPC.
The facilities have a design capacity of up to 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day and include wells, gathering systems and export pipelines. The announcement reports start-up work, not achieved output.
