South Korea’s exports reached $120.944 billion in September, up 83.5% from a year earlier, according to provisional customs data released by the Korea Customs Service on 1 October. Imports increased 26.0% to $71.092 billion.
The resulting monthly trade surplus was $49.852 billion. Cumulative exports through September reached $814.531 billion, the first time the figure exceeded $800 billion, according to the agency. The figures are provisional customs-clearance statistics and may be revised when annual statistics are finalized in February 2027.
