Preliminary general-trade-system data compiled jointly by TÜİK and the Ministry of Trade show that Türkiye exported $23.467 billion of goods in August, up 8.1% from a year earlier. Imports increased 10.5% to $28.706 billion, producing a monthly deficit of $5.239 billion.
For January through August, exports totaled $184.996 billion, 4.0% above the same period of 2025, while imports reached $250.790 billion, up 5.3%. Excluding energy products and gold, August exports rose 2.7% and imports 9.6%. The release reports provisional customs data under the general trade system.
