Inflation-adjusted household spending in the UK is estimated to have grown 0.3% in the second quarter of 2026, the Office for National Statistics reported. Spending was 1.2% higher than in the same quarter a year earlier.
Clothing and footwear, restaurants and hotels, and housing made the largest contributions to quarterly growth. The release covers household final consumption expenditure in the National Accounts; ONS says the series is subject to revision.
