BLS reports little monthly movement in openings, hires and separations in its July labour-turnover survey.
U.S. job openings were little changed at 7.3 million in July 2026, a rate of 4.4%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Hires and total separations were also little changed, at about 5.1 million each.
Quits held near 3.1 million and layoffs and discharges near 1.7 million. The survey counts positions open on the last business day; hires and separations cover changes over the full month.
The company’s September disclosure includes taxes, salaries, dividends and local procurement spending.
The 8 September update covers drilling through March 2026; the resource estimate is not a reserve.
The value of permits dropped to $12.2 billion, more than reversing June’s increase.
