Story details

Sudan’s prime minister chaired a meeting on petroleum-product supply in Khartoum on 9 October, according to the government’s published account. The meeting included the energy minister, the ministry undersecretary, the first deputy governor of the Central Bank of Sudan and the director of the Economic Security Authority.

The government said the meeting reviewed product flows, and the energy minister reported that additional quantities had been provided to meet the needs of productive and service sectors. He also said arrangements were under way to manage the fuel file and improve supply. The statement gives no volumes, product breakdown, coverage area or timetable, so it does not quantify the additions or establish nationwide availability.
