Story details
Aker Solutions said on 8 October that Hafslund Kraft had awarded it a contract to modernize Nes Power Station in Buskerud, Norway. The company said the plant has 332 MW of installed capacity and generates approximately 1.5 TWh annually.
The modernization programme is planned to add about 80 MW of capacity and around 37 GWh of annual production. Aker Solutions’ work covers turbine components for four 83 MW Francis units, governor controls and main inlet valves. The company also plans to deliver a digital twin to support operational optimization. Work has started, with final delivery scheduled for 2032. These capacity and generation increases are project expectations, not measured results.
