Story details

Singapore-headquartered Toku said on 8 October 2026 that its UAE subsidiary agreed with Core42 to host the Toku platform on Core42 Sovereign Enabled Public Cloud. The signing ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi on 2 October. Toku presented the arrangement as a route to serving public bodies and regulated companies operating in the United Arab Emirates.

Toku said onboarding had begun. Its release describes Microsoft Azure infrastructure inside the UAE combined with Core42 sovereign controls, governance, compliance monitoring and a sovereign landing zone. This is an onboarding process, not a completed migration or named customer launch.

Listed platform tools include transcription, summaries, sentiment analysis, conversation analytics and governed virtual agents. The announcement gives no UAE capacity, service-level results, customer numbers or measured productivity. These are product capabilities, not demonstrated local outcomes. Toku said the agreement builds on its experience with public-cloud services for Singapore’s public sector.

Operational use for UAE customers remains ahead. Any data-residency claim should be tied to the announced cloud design and a particular deployment. Toku also framed regional expansion as part of its business strategy. It gives no rollout schedule or agreement value, so the commercial and service effects remain unquantified.
