Story details
Khost Municipality has begun installing streetlights in the city’s third and fourth municipal districts, according to a 10 October report by Bakhtar News Agency. The agency attributed the project details to Rahmatullah Zwak, the municipality’s technical and professional director, who said the work is funded from the municipal development budget at a cost of AFN 8.5 million.
Zwak said completion is expected within three months. Once finished, the lights are intended to illuminate main roads at night and make evening travel easier for residents. The report does not give the number of lights, streets covered or an exact completion date, and the planned benefits have not yet been reported as achieved.
