Story details

Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment said on 10 October that about 700 booths were operating at the fifth Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Exhibition in Kabul. The organizer reported that 210 domestic companies and 113 foreign companies had secured booths, while more than 500 foreign traders and investors were attending to explore business opportunities. The exhibition opened on 7 October and is scheduled to run for six days.

The chamber lists mining, energy, construction, machinery, metals, food industries and technology among the sectors represented. It also says business-to-business meetings and government–private sector sessions are taking place alongside the exhibition. Those meetings are intended to identify opportunities and possible partnerships; the organizer’s report does not say that any new agreements have already been signed.
