Story details

Spain’s official gazette, the BOE, published an extract on 10 October of ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones’ 8 October resolution opening the ICEX Next grant call. The programme supports international growth by Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises through specialist advice and eligible costs that help them expand into third-country markets. Up to €3.6 million is available from ICEX’s budget; an additional amount of up to €1.8 million may be added if funds are available and the increase is approved in advance.

Applicants need their own exportable product or service and brand. The general turnover requirement is above €300,000, with an exception for recently created technology-based firms. For that exception, “recently created” means within five years of registration, extended to seven for biotechnology, energy, industrial and other strategic sectors, or firms with proprietary technology. This is not a general age limit on all applicants. Applications run from 11 October until 14:00 on 30 October, subject to the other published eligibility conditions; the call does not guarantee a grant.
