Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan opened the 16th Middle East Refining and Petrochemicals Tech Forum, ME-TECH 2026, in Dubai on 15 September. The forum ran from 14 to 16 September and brought together international specialists from refining and petrochemicals.
Its programme addressed the efficiency of existing assets, integration between refining and petrochemicals, and the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The announcement also cited lower energy use and emissions, operational reliability, and the longer-term shift toward integrated, low-carbon energy and chemicals hubs.
