Jordan’s Transport Ministry, the EU and the Global Green Growth Institute held a dialogue on private-sector participation in public transport, Petra reported. The session formed part of an existing €41 million EU grant programme for the Jordan green-transition partnership.

Officials discussed electric buses and the charging, maintenance, energy-management and technical skills needed for the transition. The ministry cited scheduled services linking Amman with governorate centers, the Bus Rapid Transit project and passenger terminals among its current public-transport initiatives.
